On this episode of the PBL Playbook Podcast, Josh and Andrea chat with Shannon Treece (@PrincipalTreece), the principal at Babcock Neighborhood School (@Babcock School) in Babcock Ranch, Florida. They discuss the shift to distance learning from the perspective of an administrator. Shannon discusses the changes her school has made to adjust to distance learning during the COVID19 pandemic. Shannon offers tips and advice for teachers trying to navigate this new world of education, as well as ways that administrators can support their teachers during what is continuously referred to as an unprecedented time. Although most schools have already wrapped up the 2019-2020 school year or are close to doing so, Shannon’s advice and thoughts on this shift in education are invaluable to carry forward no matter what the climate of education will be at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Whether your school will be completely in person, distance learning, or some combination, check out this episode for some great thoughts on the role of teachers and administrators as the world of education continues to change.
